Expediting Project Management in a Hybrid World

Project Managers often lead with influence not direct authority. Whether you are leading a software implementation, a client engagement or a corporate transformation, enhanced skills are required to manage through our new environments The hybrid workplace with a mix of remote and/or  co-located employees can make this increasingly challenging.  This experience is designed to address those challenges and prepare project managers for success.

Your Experience In Detail

Assess success readiness. Project Managers (PMs) need to identify the implications for project management work as organizations mature digitally and translate them into action. PMs will assess their readiness to succeed in a hybrid or remote organization using a strengths and skills approach to identify gaps, development opportunities, and ways to close the gaps.


In this module, PMs will:


  • Examine the constructs of a hybrid organization and its implications
  • Complete an assessment to understand strengths and areas for development


PMs have the same responsibilities as all leaders. PMs are accountable for getting work done as much as the leader in charge. This includes achieving operational excellence and timely results within budgetary constraints. Engaging teams in effective collaboration requires PMs to figure out how to inspire and motivate people to contribute at the highest levels.  


In this module, PMs will:


  • Discover ways to create a collective agenda for a team the collaborates, communicates and celebrates 
  • Learn approaches ways to increase your level of influence without direct authority


Leadership is the craft of creating the right environment where teams collaborate, learn from each other, get quick feedback from others, and are focused on quality and continuous learning. PMs need three critical elements to lead with greater flexibility to ensure high quality results are met with on time and within budget.


In this module, PMs will:


  • Discover tools to allow you to focus on the high value work you should be performing in your role
  • Explore the skills unique to Future minded PM’s 


Effective roadmaps guide project work to completion. Roadmaps are dynamic not static. Ambiguity and changes are to be expected. PMs need strategies for leading through times of uncertainty, confidence in thinking through second- and third-order consequences and building sustainable roadmaps for the future.


In this module, PMs will:


  • Become fluent in the dimensions of a dynamic and sustainable roadmap
  • Learn the skills required to build sustainable roadmaps your future


Having the right Project Management processes in place can help PMs navigate the hybrid workplace no matter where teams are physically located.  PMs must ensure they have the right standards for communication, collaboration, accountability, status, and escalation.


In this module, PMs will:


  • Explore the  PM standards to create repeatable processes. 
  • Learn how to leverage technology and PM tools for optimal results


Today’s PMs need to fully adopt new thinking and approaches. Integrating the mindsets and skills acquired during this Leadership Incubator Experience is essential for developing actionable insights for project management in a hybrid workplace.


In this module, PMs will:


  • Lock-in new approaches to project management
  • Develop a leadership roadmap for implementing learning and monitoring results
  • Build a bridge for continued learning
