Leading People In A Hybrid World

Leading a team with a mix of remote and co-located employees raises challenges. This experience is designed to prepare leaders to work with their teams in new and forward-thinking ways. You’ll exit the program with actionable insights that ensure you’re ready to lead in the new world of work.

Your Experience In Detail

Trust and inclusivity are everything. Creating an inclusive environment built on trust is the foundation for leading successful virtual teams in a hybrid world. In fact, the way you interact with every individual sets the stage for how they will perform. 


In this module, you’ll:


  • Explore ways to ask questions in an inclusive manner
  • Discover and embody the leadership attributes that build trust
  • Practice approaches that foster psychological safety with your team


Leaders often have a broader perspective of what’s happening inside an organization. Although information changes or can be ambiguous, sharing what is known – and what is not – demonstrates transparency to your team and fosters a two-way dialogue for creating shared understanding. 


In this module, you’ll:


  • Develop the courage to let go of being right or 100% certain
  • Learn ways to challenge your level of vulnerability when sharing information
  • Practice transparency when communicating with your team


Driving focus and accountability ensures results. When intended results aren’t being realized, reasons surface.  Leaders who invite new ideas and approaches and encourage diverse thinking help their team stay on track.  


In this module, you’ll:


  • Apply the five-step process for driving focus and accountability
  • Learn to ask rather than tell
  • Practice drawing out reasons and collaborative problem-solving with your team


Experimentation evolves culture. The metaphor of a petri dish is a symbol for the growth and transformation teams experience as they embrace new ways of working. Leaders, too, must experiment with conditions in order to create a strong team culture in a hybrid world.


In this module, you’ll:


  • Discover ways to connect your employees’ heads with their hearts
  • Explore the discomfort that comes with increased flexibility and what being flexible means for you as leader
  • Practice the skills for establishing your own culture petri dish


Empathy is an emotional and thinking muscle that can be developed. Leaders who are fully present can listen for understanding without judgment.  Understanding the needs of your team and being flexible in your approach to work facilitates better results. 


In this module, you'll:


  • Develop the skills required to put yourself in someone else’s shoes
  • Identify approaches to listening for understanding without judgment
  • Practice being fully present


Integration equals lasting change. Turn the new mindsets and skill sets you’ve acquired during your Leadership Incubator Experience into actionable insights and your personal plan for successfully leading virtual teams in a hybrid world.


In this module, you’ll:


  • Develop a leadership roadmap for implementing learning and monitoring your results
  • Lock-in your new inner wisdom
  • Build a bridge for continued learning
